This box contains troops armed with the yumi (bow) and teppo (musket).
The musket was introduced to Japan in 1543 and within 60 years it outnumbered the bow on the battlefield by 4 or 5 to 1
In later armies the bowmen were used to protect the musketmen as they reloaded.
